The other day, I had the idea that I wanted to program a water-drinking app. Since Android Studio works very well with SVG graphics and felt like “drawing” vector graphics again, I made a set of water-themed SVG icons. It took me longer than usual, since I am not yet used to Serif’s Affinity Designer. The software is, however, pretty solid. It does some things really well. Sometimes I fall back into my Adobe Illustrator modus operandi and hit the wrong shortcuts on my keyboard, but I hope that this will pass sooner or later. I have been working daily with the Adobe Creative Suite since then, so getting these things out is a challenge. Nonetheless, I am very impressed with the things you can do in Affinity Designer. I might try something a little more complicated soon, just so I can figure out how I feel about it. I have so many project ideas, but not enough time. I might make the icon set available when I am done with my app, but until then, enjoy this little showcase! 🙂
