Some time ago, I had a chat with my American friend, Ezra, and we thought it would be fun to test our Genshin Impact knowledge with a little group quiz. We originally wanted to do a “Quiz Night”, but good ol’ time zones got in the way. Therefore, we decided to create an app instead.He was kind enough to provide a lot of the questions displayed in the app. These questions are shuffled and randomized for each game to make it even harder to get every question right (unless you’re a total pro).
The design is fully based on the original design used in-game. Since this is just a piece of fanwork created for practice, I went all in to create the illusion of an “official app”. Little disclaimer here: all the images used in the App belong to Hoyoverse*.
The App features a 30 second timer at the top. When 10 seconds have passed, it will turn red. The current score and the remaining questions are also displayed in the header. A unique image is displayed depending on the question. Each “match” is limited to 20 questions.
It was a fun project that helped me learn to work with a DBHelper.class and handle a SQLite database in Android Studio.
